LOCATION & DIRECTIONS FOR THE CROFT FIELD

LOCATION

The Scottish Borders is a beautiful place. Bound by rolling hills, with gently flowing rivers and rich, fertile farmland, this area has been a much loved home for generations of families. Thriving market towns and charming villages characterise the Scottish Borders and it's in one of these that Cruden has created an intimate development of only 21 bungalows and villas. THE CROFT FIELD in Denholm has been designed to blend the best of traditional rural architecture with the kind of features more often associated with contemporary urban living.

The village of Denholm is situated in beautiful Teviotdale countryside, roughly halfway between the famous market towns of Hawick and Jedburgh. It's a truly lovely setting and it lies within easy striking distance of both the Scottish border and the cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh.

The village of Denholm is a conservation area, thanks to its status as an early planned community. Created around the open space of The Green, the village we see today dates from the 17th century after the original hamlet was plundered during the frequent cross-border raids of the century before. Denholm today is a thriving place, popular with those who live and work in the village and those who work further afield - Berwick, Edinburgh and Newcastle are all within an hour's drive of THE CROFT FIELD. The conservation status of the village's heart, however, ensures that nothing will be allowed to spoil the look and feel of this beautiful wee place.

At The Croft Field, we've been careful to create a small, exclusive development that feels right at home in this quiet, traditional village. But we never forget, of course, that a modern family needs a range of stylish modern fixtures and fittings and that's exactly what you'll find at THE CROFT FIELD.
