Hart Builders is delighted to announce that they have recently secured two major housing contracts
Firstly the company has been awarded a £6M new build development at Madelvic 8 in Edinburgh. One of the first contracts to deliver affordable homes in the Capital under the National Housing Trust initiative, the Madelvic 8 project for the Places for People Group comprises 62 new affordable homes for rent. Robert Kerr, Business Development Director at Hart says: “In these challenging economic times the National Housing Trust opens the door to a new innovative way to build affordable housing in Scotland and we are very much looking forward to working with Places for People on this exciting project.”
In addition, Hart started work in September on a £10M design & build development on behalf of Port of Leith Housing Association at Western Harbour S2, which will deliver 111 contemporary affordable homes in an identified area of housing need. This is an exciting new project which will not only provide a secure and sustainable environment, but will also enable Hart to maintain current employment and training opportunities for people residing within the local area over the lifetime of the construction period.
